On Friday, Cristian carries out the first qualifying session, closing with the sixth best time (1’44.004) while on Saturday morning he improves and with a time of 1’43.48 he wins the fifth position on the starting grid, valid both for race 1 on Saturday and for race 2 on Sunday.

RACE 1

On Saturday the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli wakes up under a decidedly cloudy sky and in fact the rain begins to fall in the very early afternoon causing a significant delay on the program so much so that the moto 3 race starts with a quick start procedure and with laps shortened to 12 Cristian proves to be competitive right from the start, fights with his rivals and takes fourth position. The crash of an opponent at the end places him potentially on the podium but the fight for third place is fierce. Lolli wins and opens the championship with a beautiful trophy.

RACE 2

Sunday the circuit wakes up with a decidedly more clement weather. Moto3 race 2 starts at 15:35 and Cristian, from fifth place, immediately gains positions taking advantage of a rival’s mistake. A few km later, however, he runs into a fall. In fact, on the fifth lap, while he was fighting for third position, he slipped and ended his race. He returns to the pits in pain, with some abrasions on his hand and side.

Now head down and maximum concentration to get back in top form in view of Round 2 of the Italian Speed Championship. In the general classification Cristian Lolli #29 is 5th with 16 points. To review the first round of the CIV, just tune in to SkySport MotoGP on Tuesday starting at 20:15
