The Women’s European Cup never ceases to surprise and give spectacle! After crossing for the first time national boundaries for the double heat on the circuit of Rijeka, the Women’s Championship is preparing for another historic stage of its journey: it is in fact official the night-time performance of round 6 “Virus Power Grand Prix” on the calendar, scheduled at Misano World Circuit on the weekend of August 1st.

The intense effort of the organizers EMG Eventi and Motoxracing Team, in synergy with the Federation and with the local institutions, led to the review of the race weekend with the spotlight that will illuminate again, after a long time, the “Santa Monica Circuit”.

In fact, the last races held under the starry sky date back to the early 90s, when the track was much shorter and ran counter-clockwise: with the completion of the necessary modernization of the systems, implemented through the impressions and suggestions of professional riders who in recent months have
tested the correct lighting of each stretch of asphalt, a new cycle of night races can be inaugurated again.

Furthermore, we could finally enjoy the presence of a portion of fans: the partial opening of the stands is almost certain. The numerous tourists who reach the “Riviera Romagnola” during the concomitant “Notte Rosa” over the weekend, will thus be able to witness live the challenges of the Women’s European Cup and Campionato Italiano Velocità SBK.

The girls will take to the track on Thursday evening for the first free practice session, followed by the second on Friday morning. The track’s headlights will turn on again on Friday evening for the first qualifying session, with Q2 scheduled instead for Saturday morning. Saturday evening start at the race; the continuous change of conditions will therefore reward the athletes who will be able to get used to the different situations more quickly and to keep the concentration high in the constant variation of the references.
